Our mission at World & Life Books is to promote biblical worldview thinking. Through books, educational resources, and other media forms World & Life Books will help people of all ages and in all sorts of settings consider all of reality with the God of the Bible as the core of their thinking.
Currently, World & Life Books consists of a growing booklist including a book edited by Dr. Marvin Olasky. Dr. Olasky has been a professor at The University of Texas at Austin since 1983 and is the currently the Vice President of Academic Affairs at The King's College, New York City. He is also editor-in-chief of WORLD magazine, the fifth most-read newsweekly in the United States. Dr. Olasky is the author of 20 books, including "The Religions Next Door," "The Tragedy of American Compassion," "The American Leadership Tradition," "Fighting for Liberty and Virtue," "Compassionate Conservatism," and a novel, "Scimitar's Edge."
The front list includes two books by Andree Seu. Andree Seu began writing almost twenty years ago after an aspiring writer moved in next door. On the occasion of her daughter's shedding a baby tooth, her neighbor dropped a poem in her mailbox. Andree cried on the spot at the sheer beauty of it. Encouraged, her young neighbor started writing more and depositing poems, then essays, then short stories on the porch after dark. This "box" tradition continued for a few years and became Andree's personal school of writing. Beth Kephart went on to be a semi-finalist for the National Book Award for her book "A Slant of Sun."
Andree Seu is the author of "Normal Kingdom Business," "Won't Let You Go Unless You Bless Me." She is a senior writer for World magazine.
For the younger reader World & Life Books presents Norm Bomer's character Professor Wordbrain in the book Etymology for Wordbrains Like Me. Norm Bomer is the author of "Sons of the River--A Nebraska Memoir" and senior editor of God's World News papers--the only weekly current-events paper that helps students forge a biblical worldview.
World & Life Books is a division of God's World Publications. "The world and those who dwell therein." (Psalm 24:1)
